🥣 Preparation – Before Implementation
- Familiarise yourself with the Study and Learn mode: click the "+" button in ChatGPT and select "Study and Learn".
- Select a text or topic relevant to the current lesson for learners to base their quiz on.
- Test the mode yourself: upload or paste a text and ask ChatGPT to create a vocabulary and grammar quiz.
- Prepare a demonstration to show learners how to access and use the feature.
🔥 Implementation Steps
- Present the Study and Learn mode on a projector or shared screen. Show students how to access it.
- Demonstrate: upload a text from class (e.g. a newspaper article) and ask ChatGPT to create a quiz.
- Students click the "+" sign by the chat window and select "Study and Learn".
- Students upload or paste the class text and ask for a vocabulary and grammar quiz.
- Example prompt: "Act as a language tutor. Ask me one question at a time at [level], correct my mistakes, explain briefly, and adapt difficulty based on my answers."
- Students answer quiz questions directly in the chat window and read the AI feedback.
- Debrief: Share interesting questions or feedback with the class.
