Die Rolle Künstlicher Intelligenz beim Deutsch als Fremdsprachelernen: Eine Untersuchung am Beispiel von ChatGPT
The main aim of this study is to show, using concrete examples, how artificial intelligence ChatGPT supports the development of language skills and which specific linguistic activities can be carried out in the process. In addition, an attempt is made to present the advantages and disadvantages of ChatGPT in the context of foreign language learning. For this purpose, the researcher was put in the role of a foreign language learner in order to adequately include the learner’s perspective. Based on the results, recommendations for the use of ChatGPT in foreign language teaching are given. The study uses concrete examples from the textbook to show areas in which ChatGPT can support learners. However, it also shows in which areas AI can support and relieve teachers in the preparation of lessons.
